In a meaningful demonstration of its commitment to educational advancement and alumni service, the MCU Medical Alumni Foundation and Association in America, Inc. (MCUMAFAA, Inc.) proudly awarded Medicine Scholarships to two (2) MCU BS Psychology topnotchers, providing them with the opportunity to pursue their dream of becoming physicians.
The scholarship awarding was held on June 15, 2026, at the MCU President’s Conference Room. Present during the awarding were Dr. Richard Chang, Chair of the Scholarship Committee, Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco, Jr., University President, and Ms. Mary Grace C. Antioquia, Director of External Affairs. Joining virtually were MCUMAFAA officers and members, including Dr. Winston Magno, President of MCUMAFAA, Dr. Venus Tanzo, Dr. Sylvia Santos, and Dr. Carlette Marcelo.
This scholarship initiative reflects the enduring spirit of service, generosity, and excellence that defines the MCU alumni community. Through the collective efforts and support of its alumni members, MCUMAFAA continues to create opportunities that empower deserving students, helping remove financial barriers and opening pathways toward a future in medicine.
More than a scholarship, this program represents a lasting investment in the next generation of healthcare professionals—individuals who will one day serve communities, advance the medical profession, and uphold the values of Manila Central University.
