𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟. 𝗨𝘆, 𝗠𝗗, 𝗙𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗦𝗜, 𝗙𝗖𝗖𝗣, 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗦 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 and later pursuing top-notch training abroad, excelling in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, including lung transplantation.

With faculty roles at renowned institutions like the University of Toronto and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Uy now serves as Associate Professor of Surgery and Chief of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Dr. Uy is a respected educator, earning awards such as the F. Griffith Pearson Fellow Teacher Award and the Bednarz Mentorship Award.

His journey inspires aspiring medical professionals, showcasing the impact of ambition, perseverance, and a love for learning on a global stage!
