Dr. Cho Won Bae, a proud alumnus of the Manila Central University (MCU) College of Dentistry, has built a distinguished career marked by excellence in clinical practice, professional leadership, and international service in the field of dentistry.
Born in 1969, Dr. Cho pursued his dental education at Manila Central University, graduating from the College of Dentistry in 1999. His time at MCU laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to advancing dental care and professional development. In 2001, he became a licensed member of the Korean Dental Association, officially beginning his professional career in South Korea.
In 2006, Dr. Cho has served as the Director of Kwong Won Dental Clinic, where he continues to lead in delivering quality dental care while integrating modern clinical practices. Committed to continuous learning, he pursued further training at the Graduate School of Clinical Dentistry at Hallym University from 2008 to 2010, strengthening his expertise in advanced dental procedures.
In 2011, he completed the A.T.C. Implant Training Course, expanding his specialization in implant dentistry. His professional reach has also extended internationally, as he has been serving as an Implant Supervisor at Orgil Dental Clinic in Mongolia since 2017, sharing his expertise and contributing to the advancement of dental implant practices abroad.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Cho has also taken on leadership roles within the professional dental community. He served as Secretary of the Yeongdeungpo District Dental Association from 2018 to 2022, and later as Vice President from 2022 to 2024, demonstrating his commitment to strengthening the profession and supporting fellow dental practitioners.
Recently, Dr. Cho returned to Manila Central University with his family to visit the campus where he completed his dental education. During his visit, he took the opportunity to reconnect with his former professors, express his heartfelt gratitude to the faculty members who helped shape his career, and share fond memories of his time as a student at MCU. Reflecting on his journey, he remarked, “I am who I am now because of MCU.”
Dr. Cho also expressed admiration for the positive developments and improvements he witnessed across the campus, noting how the university continues to grow while maintaining its commitment to quality education.
Through decades of dedication to clinical excellence, leadership, and global collaboration, Dr. Cho Won Bae continues to embody the Centralino spirit—demonstrating how education, gratitude, and service can create a lasting impact in the field of dentistry worldwide.
