Dr. Sunga is a proud and loyal MCU graduate, from high school (1978), pre-med course- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (1982), and College of Medicine (1986).
His impactful career includes serving as a health center physician, contributing to immunosuppression research in Los Angeles as a research assistant, and excelling in roles such as Hospitalist and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Sunga’s commitment to community health is evident in his leadership at Altura Centers for Health and ChapCare and in 2019 as a Site Medical Director in AltaMed in West Covina, CA during the COVID-19 pandemic.
