Continuing his commitment to lifelong learning, he completed executive education courses on Coaching for Leaders and Managers Program (2022) and the Operations Manager Development Program (2023) from the Asian Institute of Management.
Macoyโs professional journey spans fourteen years, primarily focusing on academic administration. He has held various roles in different educational institutions, emphasizing school and program administration, student recruitment and admissions, scholarships and loans, records management, partnerships, placements, student services, and quality assurance. Early in his career, he was elected as one of the Board Members of the Philippine Association of Administrators of Student Affairs – National Capital Region.
He has successfully facilitated numerous programs aimed at student development and welfare, including recruitment and industry deployment for graduate placement, and training and development programs that enhance students’ non-academic experiences both on and off-campus. As a trainer and resource person for leadership, team building, and career planning, Macoy has significantly contributed to various academic institutions and national organizations in the Philippines.
During his collegiate years, Macoy was an active student leader at MCU. He served as the President of the University Student Council and the College of Business Administration Student Council in the 2009-2010 academic year. Additionally, he was the Vice President for Creatives of the Philippine Junior Marketing Association, where he was a member of the National Executive Board.
His dedication to co-curricular and extracurricular activities earned him several accolades, including the Student Leader Award, Outstanding Community Outreach, and the Outstanding Student of the Year from the Office of Student Affairs, his college, and the university, respectively. Despite his extensive involvement, Macoy maintained academic excellence as a Deanโs Lister and was a recipient of the Filemon D. Tanchoco Scholarship.
A true-blooded Centralino and passionate student leader, Macoy served as the Student Program Coordinator at MCU’s Office of Student Affairs for three years after his graduation.
Currently, Macoy is the School Manager and Interim Recruitment and Admissions Manager at the Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management at the Asian Institute of Management
