MCU Alumni International Holds 5th International Alumni Homecoming at Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, September 26–27, 2025 — The MCU Alumni International successfully hosted its much-anticipated 5th International Alumni Homecoming, bringing together alumni from across the globe for two days of fellowship, thanksgiving, and celebration against the breathtaking backdrop of Niagara Falls.

The event opened on September 26 with a warm Meet and Greet among fellow Centralinos, followed by a solemn Thanksgiving Mass to honor the blessings and milestones of the alumni community. The day concluded with a scenic boat ride at Niagara Falls, where participants shared laughter and stories while enjoying one of the world’s natural wonders. The casual gathering set the tone for an atmosphere of camaraderie and reconnection.

The celebration continued on September 27 with the much-awaited International Gala Night at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel. Alumni began to gather as early as 4:00 p.m., leading to the glamorous Red Carpet Walk at 5:30 p.m. The evening formally opened with a buffet dinner from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where old friends and new acquaintances dined and bonded over shared memories of their alma mater.

The night’s program and dance segment, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m., was filled with elegance and cultural pride, as alumni graced the event in Barong Tagalog, Kalinga, T’boli, Maria Clara, Filipiniana Mestiza, Ifugao, Muslim sarong, and other traditional attire.

Adding prestige to the occasion, the event was also attended by Dr. Ferdinand A. Mortel, Dean of the College of Medical Technology, who himself is a proud alumnus of the MCU MedTech program. His presence reflected the strong connection between the University’s academic leadership and its alumni community, reinforcing the spirit of unity and lifelong loyalty to MCU.

A special acknowledgment is extended to Mr. George Anicete, Overall Chairman of the 5th International Alumni Homecoming, whose leadership and dedication played a vital role in the success of the event. His unwavering commitment to bringing Centralinos together across borders made this celebration not only memorable but also a testament to the enduring bond of the MCU alumni family.

With meaningful reunions, heartfelt exchanges, and a renewed commitment to the MCU spirit, the 5th International Alumni Homecoming at Niagara Falls truly embodied the essence of elegance, treasured memories, and lasting connections.
