Manila Central University proudly congratulates Dr. Karina Marie S. Batu-Villena on her well-deserved appointment as the Vice President for Luzon (2025–2027) of the Philippine Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Inc. (PACOP).

Dr. Batu-Villena’s remarkable journey from student to academic leader is a true reflection of what it means to be a Centralino. A two-time alumna of Manila Central University, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 2007 and further earned her Doctor of Philosophy in 2018, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning and professional excellence.

As Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Batu-Villena has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership, championing academic innovations, student-centered initiatives, and stronger industry-academe partnerships. Under her guidance, the college continues to raise its standards in pharmaceutical education and research, producing graduates who are not only competent professionals but also compassionate healthcare providers.

Her election as Vice President for Luzon of PACOP is a proud moment not only for her but for the entire MCU community. This national leadership role positions her to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of pharmacy education across the region, strengthening collaboration among member institutions, and advocating for policies that enhance the quality and relevance of pharmacy programs in the country.
