Dr. Vhic De Guzman

Dr. Vhic De Guzman, DNP, MSN, MBA, ARNP, CNP, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, CCRN, PCCN is a highly accomplished and double Board Certified Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, credentialed by both the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

As the President of MCU’s BSN Class of 1994, Dr. De Guzman returned as a Clinical Instructor from 1995 to 1999. In 1999, she immigrated to the United States, gaining extensive experience in Geriatric Nursing, Acute Care, and various nursing fields. Her expertise spans Nursing Education, Critical Care, Quality Management, Nursing Leadership, and Clinical Documentation Improvement. Dr. De Guzman holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice, a Master of Science in Nursing with an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner track, and a Master of Business Administration with a major in Healthcare Management from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Currently, Dr. De Guzman serves as an Acute Care Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner in Washington State, working in both the government and private sectors. After a 20-year hiatus, she has returned to her passion for nursing education, now contributing as faculty at Walden University, where she teaches in the MSN-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
