Dr. Prudencio “Jun” Z. Sta. Lucia is a distinguished alumnus of Manila Central University-Filemon D. Tanchoco Medical Foundation, he graduated in 1987, ranking 9th out of 132 graduates. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.
Demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence, he obtained a Master in Health Services Administration from Ateneo Graduate School of Business, a Master in Management with a major in Public Administration from Philippine Christian University, and a Doctor of Philosophy with a major in Developmental Administration. He also earned his Bachelor of Laws at City University of Pasay School of Law, where he was honored as Class Valedictorian, and is set to receive his Juris Doctor degree on July 9, 2024.
As an esteemed educator, Dr. Sta. Lucia serves as Professor and Coordinator of the Legal Medicine & Jurisprudence section at Adventist University of the Philippines College of Medicine, and as a Professorial Lecturer in Legal Medicine at the City University of Pasay School of Law and Philippine Christian University College of Law. His teaching extends to graduate schools like Trinity University of Asia, Emilio Aguinaldo College, and St. Joseph College in Quezon City.
In his role as a practicing surgeon, he is affiliated with several prestigious hospitals, including St. Claire’s Medical Center, Airforce General Hospital, Manila Naval Hospital, and Adventist University of the Philippines Hospital. His extensive contributions to the medical field have been marked by numerous awards and recognitions.
