Dr. Maria Lea Quijano-Prondo

Dr. Maria Lea Quijano-Prondo is a graduate of Manila Central University Batch 1994 who finished Master of Arts in Education Major in Administration and Supervision. She is an accomplished educator with 28 years of experience in the field. Currently serving as the Education Program Supervisor of the Department of Education Division of Valenzuela City, she has demonstrated her ability to teach, motivate, and direct students while maintaining high interest and achievement.

Throughout her career, Dr. Prondo has implemented innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement. Her implementation of a series of activity-based learning programs resulted in increased learner interest in online and regular teaching modalities. She was recognized as the Best Demonstration Teacher under the Win Na Win Program of Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian in 2005.

Dr. Prondo’s exceptional contribution to the school education system earned her the Outstanding Teacher Award. She reinvented the lesson planning module by incorporating learning styles and multiple intelligences, ensuring that every student’s unique needs were met.

In addition, Dr. Prondo designed a series of multimedia lessons for Valenzuela Live, providing students with interactive and engaging learning experiences. She also developed and implemented a teaching program that catered to the social, academic, and cognitive development of learners.

With her strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, Dr. Prondo excels in managing service delivery and facilitating practitioners’ professional development. Her dedication to education and commitment to student success make her an invaluable asset to School Leadership and Teacher Education.
