It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Cyrill Consuelo, a deeply respected nurse, educator, and leader, who peacefully joined our Creator on May 25, 2025.
Dr. Consuelo was a proud graduate and dedicated faculty member of Manila Central University, where he served with unwavering commitment and compassion. His academic journey—from earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996, to completing his Master of Arts in Nursing in 2009, and culminating with a Doctor of Philosophy in 2013—reflected his lifelong dedication to excellence in nursing education and leadership.
Beyond the halls of academia, Dr. Consuelo served as Board of Governor and President of the Philippine Nurses Association, Inc. – NCR Zone 2, where he championed the advancement of the nursing profession and inspired countless others through his visionary leadership and tireless service.
A pillar of the nursing community, Dr. Consuelo was admired for his brilliance, integrity, and dedication to uplifting the standards of nursing education. He was more than a teacher—he was a guide, a role model, and a friend to many.
The MCU community and the broader nursing profession join his family and loved ones in mourning this great loss. His memory and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those he served, taught, and inspired.
In life, he inspired with wisdom and kindness; in passing, he leaves a legacy of service and heart. May he rest in eternal peace. 🕊️
