Manila Central University takes immense pride in highlighting one of its very own—Ms. Glycel Ann Galpo, a proud Centralino whose inspiring journey from the halls of our Basic Education Department to the courtside of national sports broadcasting exemplifies determination, talent, and true Centralino spirit.

Glycel began her educational journey right here at MCU, where she learned her first ABCs as a kindergarten pupil. Her Centralino story blossomed further in grade school and high school, where she actively explored her many talents and developed her leadership and communication skills. Known for her charm, authenticity, and strong presence, she became a household name in campus events and was appointed as a Centralino Ambassador during her junior and senior high years.

After graduating from MCU Basic Education, Glycel pursued her college education at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran – Manila, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts, graduating with Academic Distinction. Her time in college was marked with numerous academic and co-curricular awards, particularly in media arts and broadcasting, areas where her passion and skills clearly shone.

Today, Glycel continues to make waves as a courtside reporter for the NCAA under GMA Synergy, bringing sports stories to life and connecting with audiences nationwide. Her presence on screen reflects the same energy, excellence, and heart she exhibited during her years at MCU.

Glycel Ann Galpo’s story is one of resilience, hard work, and Centralino pride. She serves as a shining example for our young graduates—proof that with the right foundation, one can go far and thrive even beyond the university gates.

As she returns to MCU as the Commencement Speaker for the Senior High School Graduation 2025, Glycel brings full circle her Centralino journey—this time, not as a student, but as a role model.

Once a Centralino, always a Centralino.
