Centralino in Action: Atty. Mark Joseph C. Lupango, MBA 2025

From the halls of Manila Central University to the forefront of public service, Atty. Mark Joseph C. Lupango, MBA 2025, exemplifies what it means to be a true Centralino—resilient, purpose-driven, and committed to making a difference.

Last March 25, 2026, Atty. Lupango returned to his alma mater as a guest speaker for the event “HABI: Weaving Your Degree to Your Dream Job,” held at the Helix Auditorium. In front of aspiring students and future professionals, he shared not only his career journey but also the deeper meaning behind building one’s path—thread by thread.

Drawing inspiration from the art of weaving, Atty. Lupango likened a student’s journey to the careful interlacing of strands—each representing education, experiences, mentors, and personal values. He emphasized that a degree is not merely a title, but a foundation shaped by the institution, curriculum, and the guidance of professors who help mold one’s character and competence.

Currently serving as the OIC-Chief, Legal Service, Division B of the Department of Migrant Workers, Atty. Lupango brings with him a wealth of experience in labor and employment law, both locally and internationally. His role involves providing legal counsel, reviewing contracts, and contributing to policies that impact Filipino workers worldwide.

In his talk, he also grounded his message in faith and purpose, reminding the audience that while individuals plan their paths, guidance and direction often come from a higher calling. This perspective resonated deeply with attendees, especially those navigating uncertainties about their future.

Beyond his professional achievements, Atty. Lupango continues to give back to the academic community as a part-time professor, mentoring students in law and related disciplines. His dedication to both service and education reflects the very essence of a Centralino—one who uplifts others while pursuing excellence.

His story serves as a powerful reminder: success is not built overnight, but carefully woven through perseverance, learning, and faith.

As Atty. Lupango demonstrated, every Centralino has the potential to transform their degree into a meaningful and impactful career—one thread at a time.
